My customer service rep was very helpful in correcting my issues and expediting my request. Definitely a thumbs up. Thank you for reporting my history accurately. I couldn't have been better represented. Thank youPosted on Google DOFFDON Bedbug ExterminatorTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I can't say enough about Credit Rent Boost. In November 2025, I had been approved for a home loan. Three months before closing on my permanent financing, the bank ran my credit again and found that Honda had stopped reporting my car loan. Without it, my credit score dropped from 756 to 640. I got Honda to start reporting again, but I was told it would take several months to show up. I didn't have several months. I was desperate. I had been renting the same house for eight years, so I contacted Credit Rent Boost. They sent my landlord a verification form, he filled it out, and they reported my past rent history showing I had always paid on time. Within about a month and a half, my score jumped at least 100 points, and within three months it was back up to 760. I closed and moved into my new home on April 1, 2026. Thank you, Credit Rent Boost. It really works. If you've been paying rent on time and need your credit boosted, I highly recommend them.Posted on Google Jahriele PrinceTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My apartment community promotes them on our resident portal, which is what made me sign up since I wanted to work on my credit. Since signing up, my credit score has gone up almost 50 points. They also respond quickly if you have any questions. So far, it has been a good experience for me. It makes sense — if you’re already paying rent, why not get points toward your credit? I definitely recommend them.Posted on Google Mark YoungTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very user friendly. Everything you need to know about our utility reporting plans.
Yes. When rent and utility payments are added to your credit report, they create verified payment history — which is one of the core factors credit models look for. Consistent reporting helps strengthen your credit file, especially if you have limited or thin history. Results vary by person and by the scoring model a lender uses.
Most landlords don’t report rent to the credit bureaus. Rent payments aren’t automatically included in your credit file unless a reporting service sends them in. Credit Rent Boost verifies your payments and reports them so your on‑time history is added to your credit report and can be used by scoring models that include rental data.
No. Reporting your rent or utility payments does not require a credit inquiry of any kind. We don’t run hard pulls or soft pulls. We simply verify your payments to your landlord or utility provider and send that history to the credit bureaus so it can be added to your credit file.
Yes. You can report your rent and utility payments without your landlord or utility companies’ involvement. Most enrollments don’t require your landlord or utility provider to participate. We verify your payments through secure bank connections and documentation, then send that verified history to the credit bureaus so it can be added to your credit file.
Your rent payments are reported to TransUnion, Equifax, and Experian. Utility and cellphone payments are reported to TransUnion. Once verified, each bureau adds the information to your credit file based on its own policies and scoring models.
You can report power, gas, water, and cellphone payments. These accounts are verified and sent to TransUnion so your on‑time utility history can be added to your credit file.
We report on the 5th and 15th of each month. Once your enrollment and verification are complete, your accounts are added to the next available reporting date. If you need your information reported sooner, we offer expedited reporting. With expedited reporting, accounts that are fully completed and verified by Thursday are submitted that Friday.
After we submit your data, TransUnion and Equifax typically take 1–3 business days to make the account live on your credit file. Experian follows a different schedule: your account must be fully completed by the 15th of the month to be included in the next month’s Experian file, which we submit on the 5th, and Experian then makes new rent accounts live during the last week of that month.
Past Reporting adds up to 24 months of verified payment history to your credit report. It works the same for rent, utilities, and cellphone payments.
You can purchase Past Reporting on its own or combine it with ongoing reporting:
Past Reporting as a stand‑alone purchase:
Your verified history is added as a closed account with up to 24 months of past payments.
Past Reporting combined with ongoing reporting:
Your past history is added, and the account stays open and continues updating each month going forward.
Past Reporting also includes a second past address at no additional cost if you lived at more than one place in the last 24 months.
Ongoing reporting creates an open tradeline (account) on your credit report that updates each month with new payment history.
Past Reporting creates a closed tradeline (account) that shows up to 24 months of verified past payments added all at once.
When you combine Past Reporting with ongoing reporting, your past history is added first, and then the same account stays open and continues updating each month going forward.
Yes. After you enroll, you can choose exactly what you want reported inside your customer portal. You can activate rent reporting, utility reporting, or both, and for utilities you can select the specific services you want included such as electric, gas, water, or mobile phone. Once you make your selections, we automatically verify and report every eligible payment in those categories. Each category can generate up to two tradelines—one from current reporting and one from past reporting—so depending on your providers and addresses over the last 24 months, you can create up to 10 total tradelines across rent, electric, gas, water, and mobile. This maximum can be reached with current + past or past‑only, depending on your verified history.
Yes — cash rent can be reported as long as your landlord is willing to verify their identity and confirm the payments you’ve made. Once they opt into rent reporting through their landlord portal and verify your rent history, we can report your payments to TransUnion and Equifax. Experian does not accept cash rent payments under any setup.
For clarity, “cash” refers to physical cash payments that leave no verifiable trail in your bank activity. Any rent payment that can be clearly verified through your connected bank account is not considered cash. This includes Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, direct transfers, checks, or purchasing a money order from your bank or store in the exact rent amount each month. Cash advances are excluded — even though they appear in your bank account, they cannot be used as rent verification. We need at least three verified payments and a copy of your signed lease agreement to confirm the rent amount.
You’re the one enrolled and paying for the service; there is no cost to your landlord. Their part is simple: confirm who they are, opt in, and verify the payments you’ve already made.
If you pay in cash, call us. We’ll walk you through the fastest way to get your rent reporting started.
Yes. Anyone listed on the signed lease can build credit with us, but each person must enroll separately and connect their own bank account so we can verify their individual rent payments. If a roommate pays the landlord directly, they can report their rent normally. If one roommate pays the landlord and the others pay that roommate, the roommates paying the primary tenant can still report rent as long as they are listed on the main signed lease and their connected bank account shows their payments going to the primary tenant. For utilities, the utility account must be in the same person’s name as the bank account making the payments, so only the person who both holds the utility account and pays it from their own bank account can report electric, gas, water, or mobile. Each person can generate up to two tradelines per category—one from current reporting and one from past reporting—and depending on their providers and addresses over the last 24 months, they can build up to ten total tradelines across rent, electric, gas, water, and mobile. This maximum can be reached with current + past or past‑only, depending on their verified history.
Ongoing plans include a free monthly Equifax credit report, your monthly VantageScore 3.0, the score factors that influence your credit, and score tracking. Past‑only reporting includes a one‑time Equifax credit report and score.
We don’t believe you should pay extra just to get started. Many companies add setup fees on top of monthly costs, but we keep enrollment simple and upfront. Your payment history should help you — not cost you more before you even begin.
If you find a comparable standalone rent or utility reporting plan with a lower publicly advertised monthly or annual price within 30 days of enrolling, we’ll match it. Just send us the competitor’s pricing link through your Message Center so our team can verify it.
Bundles, coupons, private promotions, and non‑standalone offers don’t qualify.
If your request is approved, we’ll adjust your subscription rate, refund the difference, or apply a credit, depending on your plan type.
Refunds are available within 30 days under specific conditions. If your bank isn’t supported by our secure connection system, you’re eligible for a full refund. If you made a mistake during enrollment or changed your mind, you may receive a refund minus a $9 processing fee.
All refund requests must be submitted through your Message Center in the customer portal.
Once reporting has begun — including rent, utilities, or past‑only data — all fees become non‑refundable. After your information has been submitted to the credit bureaus, the service is considered delivered and cannot be reversed or refunded.
Yes. There are no long‑term contracts, and you can manage or cancel your plan directly in your portal.
Yes. Your bank and identity connections are encrypted end‑to‑end and used only for verification and reporting purposes.
