Such personally identifiable information may be collected when voluntarily submitted to us by you through your access to the Website, filling out a form on the Website, beginning to fill out a form even if the form is not completed on the Website, and/or opening an account. The types of information that may be collected include your name, mailing address, social security number, date of birth, drivers license information, email address, phone number, landlord or property management company information, and other financial and non-financial information for verification purposes. We may also collect your Website usage information, including, the materials that you access on the Website, cookies, IP address, and messages from you to the Company. We may also collect your personally identifiable information from others, such as landlords, property management companies, affiliates or other companies.

 

When purchasing the Services, you will also be required to provide a credit card number, billing address, phone number and other payment information.  Financial information shall be submitted through a payment gateway provided by Authorize.Net and secured by a Secured Sockets Layer (SSL) communication protocol. You will be providing credit or debit card information directly to the Payment Processor which operates a secure server to process payment details, encrypting your credit/debit card information and authorizing payment. Information which you supply to the Payment Processor is not within our control and is subject to the Payment Processor’s own privacy policy and terms and conditions.

 

We may record information about your usage, such as when you use the Site and the pages you review on the Site. We may automatically collect information from you each time you visit the Site. This includes technical information, information about your visit, and information about your activity on our Site such as courses searched and viewed, page response times, download errors, length of visit to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks and mouseovers), methods to browse to and away from a page, and methods used to contact our support team.

Direct Collection of Information from You. We collect information when you interact with our services team or when you request and purchase services from our Site.

 

Collection of Information from Our Partners. We have relationships with various strategic partners that offer rent reporting services to their customers and subcontract the services to us. If you signed up for rent reporting through one of our partners, we may collect the personally identifiable information that you provided to our partner directly from them in order to provide the Services.  Such information includes some or all of the information required to perform our Services and report rent payments to credit bureaus.

 

Cookies. In addition to collecting information directly from you through forms that you may submit, or from others, including your landlord or property manager, we may collect information using certain technology. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser that enables the sites or service providers’ systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.  We do not link the information we store in cookies to any personally identifiable information you submit while on our site. We use both session ID cookies and persistent cookies.  A session ID cookie expires when you close your browser. A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive for an extended period of time.

Web Beacons. Web beacons (a.k.a. clear gifs) are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, which are used on our website to track online movements of web users and compile aggregated statistics to analyze how our site is used and may be used, in our services, or in our emails.  Our use of Web beacons also includes to count visits and to tell if an email has been opened and acted upon. We do not link the information gathered from web beacons to any personally identifiable information.

We will request your property address and rent amount, your landlord information, your social security number, date of birth, drivers license information, an email address and your phone number. We will utilize your personally identifiable information to report your information to third party credit bureaus; and we may use your information to obtain your credit score and excerpts of your credit report before and after the initial reporting of your rental history to credit bureaus.

 

To Communicate with You. Company may collect and use personally identifiable information to inform you about new products or services offered by the Company, or to improve and develop products or services. We may collect and use personally identifiable information to investigate any alleged violation of the Website’s Terms.

 

For our Business, Technology and Marketing Improvements. We also use your personal information together with other personally non-identifiable information to help us better understand our users, to personalize and improve your experience with our Site, and to improve the content and functionality of our Site. This may include providing information about our goods and services that we feel may interest you and enhance your interaction with our Site. We will communicate with you about these goods and services via email, direct mail, telephone, or on our Site. If you are a California Resident, over the preceding 12 months we disclosed certain categories of California residents’ personally identifiable information in accordance with the above. We do not, and in the preceding 12 months did not, sell California residents’ personal information.
